The database DOCDB of the European Patent Office serves as the basis. This is enhanced by full-text data that IamIP obtains directly from the authorities (e.g. USPTO, DPMA) and from other providers.

In addition to the bibliographic data and full texts, IamIP also provides the drawings and a link to download the full PDF documents.

Legal status data relates to information on the events during the lifetime of a patent application. INPADOC contains legal status events from over 40 international patent authorities worldwide. It includes legal events from the patent gazettes and registers of various national patent authorities, including the EPO, WIPO, and the GPTO.

DOCDB is the EPO’s master documentation database with worldwide coverage. It contains bibliographic data, abstracts, citations, and the DOCDB simple patent family. 
DOCDB data is the backbone of Depatisnet and Espacenet products and services. It includes bibliographic data from over 90 countries worldwide. The data goes back as far as the 1830s for some patent authorities.

It also contains CPC classes and IPC classes, which are added during the examination procedure at the various offices. 
The database is updated twice a week and uploaded to the patent database by IamIP and serves as the basis for loading further full texts and images, as well as adding links to the PDFs and creating the IamIP patent database.
