The User Day Conference was a remarkable opportunity for us to meet some of our customers but also to bring together industry experts, and dedicated professionals. We were very happy to see such an enthusiastic turnout and the invaluable contributions made by everyone in attendance.

Our day kicked off with a nice breakfast and some one-on-one meetings between our clients and the customer success team. It was a great way for our team to discuss questions, suggestions, and any other matter regarding the platform with the participants.

The main part of the conference was initiated with a welcoming speech by our CPO Viktor Rudolf about IamIP’s latest updates, features and a look of what is to come in the future.

The day continued with a very interesting presentation by Daniel Knauer from TRUMPF, a brief overview of the 100-year history of Trumpf, an insight into the development of an in-house office and the company’s work with the IamIP platform. He particularly gave insights as to how TRUMPF uses IamIP’s toolkit on their daily activities with a special focus on the monitoring function.

We were also very excited that Dr. Heiner Flocke, CEO of iC-Haus GmbH & President of patentverein.de could join and share his insights with us. His speech was about showcasing defense positions against patent attacks which were particularly aimed at medium-sized participants in the patent system.

The last speaker of the day was Maximilian Knaus, European Patent Litigator and partner at WSL Patentanwälte mbB. His presentation addressed sustainable patents and the issue of building the environmental legislation into your IP strategy. In this talk, we examine key IP decisions that will help a business to transform more successfully into new market opportunities.

Our day ended with Mitja Schonecke’s presentation about the IamIP Community and how more people can join and with an interesting roundtable discussion between our speakers and the participants of the conference.

The main part of the conference was initiated with a welcoming speech by our CEO Dimitris Giannoccaro and IamIP’s CPO Viktor Rudolf about IamIP’s latest updates, features and also a look of what is to come in the future.

The day continued with a very interesting presentation by Johan Hultman from Sartorius, joined by IamIP’s CPO Viktor Rudolf where they introduced our newest AI Patent Categorizer. A new feature that was created by IamIP in collaboration with Sartorius and will be available for our clients to use in the very near future.

The AI Patent Categorizer will play a big role in improving the weekly monitoring process as it will allow users to save up to 70 percent in time and generate more precise results when searching and monitoring patents.

We were very excited that Elin Sylvan, from the Swedish Patent Office could also join us during the conference. She offered a very interesting presentation regarding the patent trends in Sweden while also giving a brief explanation about the emerging Unitary Patent. One of the main focuses of her presentation was also the female innovation that highlighted that the gender gap, while closing, we still have a long way to go.

The last external speaker of the day was Simon Curtis, patent attorney and partner at Potter Clarkson. His presentation addressed the issue of building the environmental legislation into your IP strategy. In this talk, we looked at how industry has responded to past regulations and examine key IP decisions that will help a business to transform more successfully into new market opportunities

Our day ended with the partnership announcement between IamIP and Patentest, a patent information and analysis group that will help enhance the experience of our clients, and Mitja Schonecke’s presentation about IamIP Community and how more people can join.

After two years of meeting digitally, it was a great pleasure getting to see many of our platform users again.

It was an important event where experts from the Intellectual Property industry could meet and exchange experiences and ideas.

Day 1 of the conference kicked off with a speech from out CEO, Dimitris Giannoccaro, and our CPO, Viktor Rudolf, about IamIP’s latest updates and looks in the future.

The day continued with a speech by Michael Kloskowski from Felix Schoeller who talked about IP Management in a family-owned paper business. A very enlightening speech that sparked engrossing conversations between our attendees.

We, then, had the pleasure of having Savita Mundrigi and Johan Hultman from Sartorius who, along with the IamIP CPO Viktor Rudolf, offered a very interesting presentation regarding Artificial Intelligence and how it can help and improve the monitoring process.

After some fun quizzes and discussions, Maximilian Knaus  from WSL Patentanwälte, shared his expertise as German and European Patent Attorney with our participants, regarding the issue of Unitary Patent System. We got some useful insight into what it is and how it can be used strategically.

Our day ended with an engaging speech by Dr. Ing. Frank Zeihsel, from Synnovating who addressed the issue of the systematic improvement of patents from a technical point of view in order to make the patents stronger and more enhanced.

It was a great first day, with many thought-provoking conversations and exchange of ideas between experts of the intellectual property industry.

Day 2 of the conference was filled with a workshop which was designed by our customer success experts for the participants.

The attendees got hands-on training on issues regarding IP and the IamIP platform. More specifically, through a fictive case, training was provided on on how to:

– Prepare their organization and define team goals and roles​​
– Handle the IP matters in their key project​
– Setup a competitor and technology tracking process
– Extract and document the risk status

The participants had a chance to collaborate with each other and completed all the steps of the workshop successfully while fully utilizing the functions of the IamIP platform.

It was time for our annual kick-off meeting but more than that, we wanted to be all together in order to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of IamIP.  

Our colleagues from Sweden, Poland and Germany came together for two days of workshops, team- building, a look into the history of IamIP and some fun!

Kick-off meetings always hold a special meaning for IamIP since it’s one of the few opportunities we have during the year, where the three offices from three different countries can be together at the same time and place.  This year’s was even more special, as the ten-year anniversary of IamIP was also celebrated.

Our kick-off in Gdansk started off with some inspiring speeches from the IamIP founders highlighting the history of the company. We also set goals and expressed our ambitions about what we want to achieve for the year to come.  

Workshops, bonding, and fun activities followed, providing the team with a great opportunity to get to know each other even better, work together but also compete with each other during some fun games.   

Our time together ended with a guided tour around the beautiful city of Gdansk and dinner.

Lots of laughs were shared, many conversations were held and now we are ready to look at the future with more optimism, ready to always grow and become better.
